To blog or not to blog. It is the question that most established business owners, start-ups and entrepreneurs have to consider when compiling or revisiting their branding checklist.


The short answer to this is yes!


There is a considerable market for blogs and if you are a business owner or entrepreneur who plans on keeping up with current online and social media trends, then blogging is the way to go.


Blog posts tell people about your business and allow you to inform prospective clients about what it is you do. By blogging, you zoom in on your field of expertise and in today’s robust market, it might just be the distinguishing factor that sways a prospective client to your court. Not to mention that blog posts containing search engine optimised (SEO) keywords can drive traffic to your website and lead to more clients.


Blogging can assist you with some or all of the following:


  • Inform readers about you and your business, who you are, what you do, why you started etc.

  • Describe your services and elaborate on what each entails.

  • Educate readers on the difference between services and how each can potentially solve a problem for your client.

  • Explain the service delivery process or product development and distribution from start to finish.


Yes, a blog targeted at a specific audience and written with purpose is a massive plus for any business, not to mention that a single blog post can also serve your social media needs in a big way.
